EARS welfare assistant Therdon Duminy made the team proud when he was interviewed on national radio station, RSG, about his role at the Sanctuary and his training with the Cart Horse Protection Association.

Therdon, a resident of Genadendal, said he was nervous at first but he soon warmed up and enjoyed the experience.

RSG presenter Martelize Brink was astonished to hear that EARS cares for up to 400 horses across five villages in the Greyton/Genadendal valley.
